Yields: serves 2 people
Ingredients
- 1 packet of Maggi (I prefer Veg Atta Maggi)- 70g pack
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 large tomato, 1/2 finely chopped and 1/2 grated
- Pinch of red chilli powder
- Pinch of turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp chicken masala powder (optional)
- 1 Tbsp oil
- Coriander leaves, finely chopped
- Coriander sprig, for garnish
Instructions
- Add oil in a pan. When the oil gets warmed up, add onion and cook for 2 minutes.
- Take 1 large tomato and cut it in half. Now grate half tomato and put it in the pan.
- Now add red chilli, turmeric, salt, chicken masala and half of the maggi masala powder in it.
- Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes or till the oil separates from the paste.
- Add 4 cups of water in it bring it to a boil, cover the pan and let it cook for about 5 minutes on a slow flame.
- Now crush maggi completely with your hands and add it in pan. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Add chopped tomato and coriander leaves in it. Turn off the flame and put the lid on, let it rest for another 5 minutes.
- Garnish with coriander sprig.
