Jhatpat Chicken Biryani

We all know Biryani takes hours to get cooked. But do you wanna cook Biryani which gets cooked in just 30 minutes? Take a look at this exotic flavored Biryani and learn to make it with me.

Cook time: 30 min
Ready in: 45 min
Yields: Sufficient for 1 person

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces of chicken
  • salt, to taste
  • 1-tsp black pepper powder
  • 1-tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1/2-tsp garam masala powder
  • 1-tsp chicken masala powder
  • pinch of turmeric
  • 1-tsp coriander powder
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 black cardamom
  • 1-tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 onion, julienne
  • 1 bowl of boiled rice
  • 1-tbsp refined oil

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken with salt, black pepper, kashmiri red chilli, garam masala, turmeric, coriander powder and ginger-garlic paste.
  2. In a pan put oil and fry the onion julienne till crispy brown and remove it from pan.
  3. Now add cardamom and bay leaves in the same pan.
  4. After that add the marinated chicken into it, cover the pan and let it cook for about 20 minutes. Don't forget to check the chicken after every 5 minutes.
  5. Now add boiled rice into it and mix well.
  6. Garnish it with fried onions and serve hot.
