Sausage n Pepper


Chicken sausages combined with green bell pepper creates a flavorful dinner. Must try this if you love to eat chicken sausages. With just few ingredients make this wonderful restaurant style recipe at your home and enjoy it with your family.


Cook Time

Yields: serves 2 people

Ingredients

  • 4-5 chicken sausages
  • 1 capsicum, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 tsp garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 tsp butter
      Marinade:
  • Bunch of coriander
  • Salt to taste
  • Pinch of pepper
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 green chillies

Instructions

  1. Make a fine paste of ingredients mentioned under list marinade.
  2. Marinate the sausages in this paste and keep it aside.
  3. Now take a pan and add butter in it. When the butter starts melting, put your chicken sausages in it. Let the sausages get a nice golden color. This might take 5-10 minutes.
  4. Add capsicum and onions in it and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. After that add chopped garlic and cook for another 2 minutes.
  6. Squeeze some lemon juice on top and serve hot with your favorite dip or sauce.

Chocolate Mousse

Who doesn't love chocolate mousse??? I am sure you all wanna learn this delightful mousse. It is very easy to make yet tasty. This mousse will bring smile on your loved ones faces, so don't miss the chance to impress them. Children are also gonna love this mousse. So enjoy making this yummy mousse with me.

Yields: serves 2 people

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of cream
  • Flavoured fruit cake, 4 slices
  • 15-20g dark chocolate
  • 1 Tbsp Milk
  • 2 tsp caster sugar
  • Chocolate shaving, for decoration

Instructions

  1. We will start by making our whipped cream. Take the cream in a bowl and add caster sugar in it. Whisk till it becomes very fluffy. This may take few minutes, so be patient.
  2. Now we will melt our chocolate with the help of double boiler. So in a pot take some water and over this pot put another pot in which we will put our chocolate. See the image below.

  4. Now add milk in this chocolate. And keep stirring. When the glaze is ready let it come to the room temperature first and then we will mix it in our whipped cream but cut and fold method. Save some glaze for decorating the glass.
  5. Take a glass in which you will freeze this mousse. With the help of this glass cut 4 cake slices. I am using vanilla flavoured cake. You can choose your own.
  6. Decorate the glass with chocolate glaze. Take glaze in a spoon and drop it slowly in the glass and keep rotating the glass.
  7. Now take that glass, put a cake slice in the bottom. Then pour some chocolate cream. Put another cake slice on it and some chocolate cream on top. Repeat the process to make one more glass of mousse.
  8. Decorate it with chocolate shavings and piece of chocolate. Freeze it for about 20 minutes.
  9. Serve chilled.

Ingredients

  • 1 bowl of basmati rice, soaked
  • 1/2 bowl of carrot, finely chopped
  • 1/2 bowl of cabbage, finely chopped
  • 1/2 bowl of French beans , finely chopped
  • 1/2 bowl of capsicum, finely chopped
  • 1/2 bowl of spring onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic, finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Pinch of black pepper powder
  • Oil as required

Instructions

  1. Wash the rice properly and soak it in water for 30 minutes.
  2. Boil the rice till it gets 80-90% cooked. While boiling add some salt and 1 Tbsp oil in water.
  3. Now in a separate pan take 1 Tbsp oil and saute garlic in it for few seconds.
  4. Now add spring onions in the pan amd cook for another few seconds.
  5. Now add all the remaining vegetables into the pan and cook for about 7-10 minutes.
  6. Add salt in it but remember we have already put salt in rice while boiling. And add little bit of black pepper powder.
  7. Now add boiled rice in it, mix well.
  8. Cover the pan and cook for 5 minutes.
  9. Serve hot with Manchurian.

Spicy Lady

Make this and you won't be able to stop licking your fingers. It has got all the flavors of Southern spices. Try this and make your children eat this yummy ladyfinger which they usually don't. Enjoy this yummy spicy lady!! :)

Yields: Sufficient for 4 people

Ingredients

  • 250g ladyfinger, split in half
  • 2 small sized onion, finely chopped
  • 1 large tomato, grated
  • 1-tbsp refined oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
    Spice Mixture:
  • 1/2 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  • Pinch of garam masala powder
  • 1-tsp chicken masala powder(optional)
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 Tbsp fennel powder
  • 1 tsp dry mango powder
  • Pinch of asafoetida powder
  • 1/2 tsp spicy red chilli powder
  • Pinch of black pepper powder
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Put ladyfinger in a bowl and mix all the ingredients mentioned under Spice Mixture in it. Keep it aside for 5 minutes.


  2. In a pan put oil. When the oil gets hot, add mustard and cumin seeds in it and let them crackle.
  3. Put chopped onions in it and saute for 2 minutes.


  4. Now add the marinated ladyfinger in it, cover the pan and let it cook for 5-7 minutes on a low flame.


  5. After that add grated tomato, drizzle very little bit of water in it, cover the pan and let it cook for about 5-7 minutes more.
  6. Serve hot with chapati.

Me 'n' Mah Maggi

Try this amazing style of making Maggi. You must have seen Ads on TV about Me and my Maggi !! But after trying this recipe you'll know that this one is the best soooo far. I eat it anytime, in breakfast, lunch or even in evening supper. Try this unique style of "kooking" Maggi.


Cook Time

Ingredients

  • 1 packet of Maggi (I prefer Veg Atta Maggi)- 70g pack
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 large tomato, 1/2 finely chopped and 1/2 grated
  • Pinch of red chilli powder
  • Pinch of turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp chicken masala powder (optional)
  • 1 Tbsp oil
  • Coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • Coriander sprig, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Add oil in a pan. When the oil gets warmed up, add onion and cook for 2 minutes.
  2. Take 1 large tomato and cut it in half. Now grate half tomato and put it in the pan.
  3. Now add red chilli, turmeric, salt, chicken masala and half of the maggi masala powder in it.
  4. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes or till the oil separates from the paste.
  5. Add 4 cups of water in it bring it to a boil, cover the pan and let it cook for about 5 minutes on a slow flame.
  6. Now crush maggi completely with your hands and add it in pan. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Add chopped tomato and coriander leaves in it. Turn off the flame and put the lid on, let it rest for another 5 minutes.
  8. Garnish with coriander sprig.

Vodka Volcano

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of vodka
  • 1 cup of orange juice
  • 1 Tbsp tamarind pulp
  • Salt
  • Lemon, for garnish
  • Ice, crushed

Instructions

  1. Mix vodka, orange juice, tamarind pulp and ice in a jug.
  2. Take a glass and moisten the rim by rubbing lemon on it.
  3. Take some salt in a plate. You can also mix some food color in salt to make it look even more appealing.
  4. Place that glass upside down over this plate and twist it to get more salt on the rim .
  5. Now add slowly the drink we made into this glass.
  6. Garnish with a lemon slice and serve chilled.

Spicy Soya Lollipop

I would like to dedicate this recipe to my Mum. She taught me how to make this mouth-watering Spicy Soya Lollipop.Thank you Mom, I love you. Not only aesthetic appeal but it has got amazing taste as well. Now I am sharing this wonderful recipe with you.

Ingredients

  • 250g soya chaap
  • 5-6 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1 medium sized onion, finely chopped
  • 1 large tomato, finely chopped
  • 2 green chillies, roughly chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • Pinch of turmeric powder
  • 1 Tbsp oil

Instructions

  1. Boil the soya chaap for 10 minutes in a pressure cooker.
  2. While soya is getting boiled, we will make our tempering. In a pan put vegetable oil and saute garlic in it for 10-15 seconds.
  3. After that add chopped onion and green chillies in it and saute for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add chopped tomato into it and mix well.
  5. Now it's time to add salt, turmeric and black pepper powder. Cover the pan and let it cook for about 5 minutes.
  6. Add boiled soya chaap into it and saute for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Serve hot.
